CV Writing

Your CV is the instrument that allows a firm to decide whether they want to interview you, so take time when you are writing it and have a think about the following:-

  • Personal Details to include all forms of contact ie mobile and home numbers and a well used email address
  • Qualifications to include all from GSCE onwards, Date of Admission, Professional Qualifications and Memberships
  • Current employer and position first with full details of caseload, ALWAYS highlight specific cases that were high profile/complex or that you achieved a particularlygood result for
  • Billings and chargeable hours for each place worked
  • Highlight also non-billable achievements and duties eg, management, strategic changes, recruitment and retention
  • Both Personal and professional achievements
